The skip may not have been in the house at the time of the search, but, obviously the couple in question did obstruct justice, harbour, and aid and abett a wanted felonious fugitive.

Because of the agent's perseverance they were able to capture the fugitive the next morning through surveillance of 1 of the residents of the house. I think this point got overlooked by everyone.

Why aren't the couple in question being charged and arrested for these charges ?

Ruffin;

Yes, good point. Here is the kicker (in my opinion). I read a 2nd article today where the local police stated they had no comment or opinion regarding this case. The reason being (from what I read) is because they were not involved in any way.

Not for 1 moment do I believe the Recovery Agents stole the rent money or jewerly. I do believe they maced the family pit bull, because I sure as heck would have. I believe these individuals are making these claims because they "were" harboring a fugitive.

As for the individuals being arrested for harboring a fugitive, they will not be. From what has been reported, the police were never involved. These individuals can (and do everyday) lie to us <recovery agents> and nothing will happen, because we are not law enforcement. But, lie to law enforcement (local, state of fed) and watch what can happen.

Here is the start of the regulation process expected in N J . They are still vague in structure with the exception of "money", which if i remember correctly is what we save the taxpayers with our service. They also stipulate in this early phase that ""( a bounty hunter wouldn't confer a right to carry a weapon. A bounty hunter would have to comply with state firearms laws to carry a weapon)"". I wonder if we would have a right to sue the state or judge who denies us the right to protect ourselves and others in the course of doing our job. Our judge in Bergen County who denies ccw licenses say's "find another occupation", and thats to owners of bailbond company's.

Your input would be invited and appreciated.
