Here is the story from one of the people directly involved...
Cut & Paste
Dude. The bounty hunters fucked up. Plain and simple. This guy had sat in jail on a 40 day sentence. They didn't verify the warrant. Didn't stay in contact with the bondsman. During those 40 days, they didn't check the local jail, they didn't check vinelink, they didn't do shit or they would've known.
The bondsman hired them in 09/16 and when he didn't hear from them, he hired my company. While my guys were working on it, he got pulled over, arrested, pled and sentenced. The bondsman had to pay full forfeiture.
On July 4th they went to his girlfriend's parents house to arrest him without checking the validity of the warrant which is accessible via a free online portal. Now they are fucked. Clear cut. Nothing to read between the lines. No drama. Go to jail. Do not pass go.
