While there is a presumption of innocence here, there is also a pattern of this type behavior with this company. You can google it and come to your own conclusions. I came to mine Long ago.

Added- Know your target! Do you really need to enter the home? Just a couple things for the new folks to consider.

Yes, Bill, there is a pattern of conduct....it's called writing over 5,000 bonds per years, executing 500 warrants per year, and NEVER losing a single case of accused misconduct. NOT A SINGLE ONE. So talk shit all you want but where will you be when the case is dismissed? Probably the same place that you were every other time that these stupid allegations go NOWHERE....hiding in the woods. Will you apologize? I doubt it. The investigating officer NEVER even interviewed our employees, even though we reached out multiple times; we were told this issue was DOA. Even better yet, 1 of these individuals is an ex-Military Police, trained and served his time (but that doesn't earn any favor with you)...oh and by the way, since we arrest, on average, 40 people per months...our documentation of events is pretty damn good....you know, to the point of the alleged victim admitting that he gave us permission to search the house. OOPS. I know that when you live in the woods in NC its tough to wrap your head around the idea the people make false claims for money but it really happens, especially in the big city. In fact, we feel so confident about our employees actions that we have instituted mandatory body cams for all of our recovery agents (too bad we started on January 1 because I could have shown you the footage to make you eat your words)...do you do that or are you maybe a little worried about what someone might see you do or hear you say? You can dance on my grave when I lose but until then, I appreciate you continuously bringing me up. There is 1 thing I can count on....that is when something about our company enters the news (which, good or bad I'm sure your a little jealous of since you ALWAYS have something to say)...I can have someone monitor this forum to catch you saying something stupid.

Thank you for posting your take on this youwalk. I presume you work for or are able to speak for the owner so I will ask you this.

Do you not have a file with a photo in it for the RA's to know what the person looks like?

As to the other question...I'm going to treat it like a serious question, so I hope that it is.

The answer is Of Course they had access to pictures and files.

I feel that question goes toward the idea that they "arrested" someone. That is my point. I understand and play the game, so I get the idea that a news story must be salacious to draw attention. I love leading the nightly news. There is no such thing as bad publicity in my mind...so long as the long term implications are not negative. But everyone in this forum should know better.

My point is that no one was arrested. No one was told they were going to jail. No proof has been submitted to substantiate those claims. In fact we believe that we have significant proof in opposition of those claims. Now, if you would like to use this incident as a learning experience for people....I believe that its a great showcase in why people must always meet the most stringent requirements and DOCUMENT DOCUMENT DOCUMENT.

As Mr. Williams has so eloquently stated, we have been in this position before, we know better than to just run off on wild goose chases. Our guys are impeccably clean and if required should make excellent witnesses. As stated previously, 1 of them is an ex-MP and well trained. The other is not as experienced but also trained. They are both licensed bail agents. We use an online system that time/date stamps everything...so it will be tough for any person to challenge the authenticity of any of our notes.

When you look at the charges, our employees are charged with a crime that is equivalent to a security guard who has detained someone at a store while performing a shoplifting investigation. These are 2 misdemeanors. If you take the alleged victim at his statements; 2 men with guns approaching a house, push in a door, and hold people hostage for over an hour...you would really be hard pressed to come away with 2 misdemeanor charges. So even the prosecutor must have some question. I can't say all of our specific evidence that we will use but I can assure you that we have a ton and will be able to prove our guys position.

Now, you could look at this as a defining act as well, for "what rights do licensed bail agents have during an investigation"? I can assure you that if our guys were Police Officers, there would be NO conversation. There is no accusation of abuse or misconduct beyond, "did they have the right to be there"? Of course, my argument would be that they were merely following up leads and any good investigator should do so. Then, if the alleged victim willing complies with requests, should you set boundaries anyway?

I hope that you can turn this into a positive conversation. I believe that most of this forum is used by a handful of people to spread negative opinions, instead of allowing our industry to learn from each other and ensure that we are all on the cutting edge. If my guys had body cams, once again at least 90% of this case would already be gone because we could prove our position but we have also learned that when cameras are present, you get a certain amount of "playing it up for the camera," so what is best for our industry? We do not have the rights that police officers have, even though in many cities/states we are finding that Bail Agents are operating alone to server more and more warrants.

I do believe that many smaller and younger operations would be in a must different position than us because they do not have the money to protect themselves. We actually believe that we are more open to assault from allegations and lawsuits than we are from physical assault. We are active in our communities and our political system but when you are dealing in large cities, it is impossible to know and touch everyone. What would any other bail agent do if they were placed in a position where it was simply a "he said, she said?"

If you have direct questions, that are not evidence based, please feel free to ask....if you cant tell, I am happy to respond in length. LOL

Youwalk, Re-read my statement. Your guys are presumed innocent until proven guilty. I truly hope you come out of this one as you state you will. This industry can't handle much more of this type publicity. As to one of your agents being ex military, so am I and many others in this business. I see that as no help at all, but that's my opinion based on having seen other ex military and leo's getting jammed up in this business.

While I really want to respond to your earlier comments, I will not lower myself to that level so we can both sit behind a computer and "Bust a Caps Lock" on each other.

To answer your question, if you walk beats these charges , you walk should really be asking the news media for an apology.

If my records are correct, I've recovered approx. 64 skips for you walk without incident. I've sent you a certified check for 10, 000.00 that one of your skips chose to pay as collateral rather than return to jail. I also sent you walk a Money Gram for 500 dollars that one of your skips chose to pay me thinking I would leave him alone. He's still in prison. I have apprehended skips in more than 35 states and yes, I've recovered several in Detroit. I really wish you would get your facts straight.

Lastly, I can't apologize for something that I don't feel was wrong. As stated, Google Youwalk and it doesn't look very good.

I will say this, you did a great job in hiring Jason Moss. He's a man of integrity and back when I was doing recoveries for you walk I would go the extra mile for Jason. I hope he's doing well.

My responses can get rather long as well.

Bill
