While I don't claim to be an expert on SC Bail Laws I can tell you Bounty Hunters are not legally allowed to apprehend anybody in SC. I have made many re-arrests in SC and know that you can apprehend a skip who has fled to SC from another state. The one thing to make dang sure of is that you are licensed, appointed by the same insurance company that posted bail on the out of state skip. If not and your caught, you'll probably go to jail. Have all yor paperwork in order, Application, Power of Attorney, Court notorized Appearance Bond sheet, Forfeiture Notice, a Capius is good but not required as a Bail Agent can't serve a Warrant, Have your personal credentials in order and you should be good to go. Unless something has changed recently, there is/was no law requiring you to inform Law Enforcement of your presence or intentions....I think this story is flawed and more should come out in the future....Now, that's my take on the situation, but please do your own due diligence prior to making any re-arrest in SC.

Just checked and found it interesting that there are no members listed for South Carolina. I wonder what that is about.
