A bondsman contacted us recently about locating a fugitive in Texas and getting them back to Missouri. From what I studied regarding Texas and bail fugitives, there was a little more to it than making a run down south and bringing a fugitive back; so I left the bondsman with a word of caution, and eventually declined to partake in the apprehension.

I then contacted Charlie Deckert and inquired about how exactly to go about such a thing. This was (as best I can recall) the 3rd time we turned down a recovery in Texas because we just were not familiar with exactly how Texas operates. We had done some reading and checking, even making some phone calls to authorities down there, but wasn’t prepared to assume we knew how to accomplish the task.

After several emails with Mr. Deckert, we are now on pretty solid ground about how we would need to proceed. So I just wanted to take the time to give props to Charlie for his efforts and several email exchanges helping us to get this figured out.

I too had informative information provided by Charlie in regards to helping out another Miami Bondsman that had a Skip out of Miami that apparently fled to Texas after cutting off his GPS Ankle bracelet.

Charlie gave me the 4-1-1.. and schooled me briefly on the Law and What We as Miami Bail Bondsman Can and Can Not Do in Texas.. Which was alot more of CANT DO IN TEXAS as Miami Bondsman....

Charlie knows his stuff and Thanks again for the information as well.
