I'll be detailing the events of my very first case here.

Not that its a very big one, the bondsman said, "this guy, this guy has been a pain in my &*$ for months" its only a $750 bail. But it's a good place to start!

Ok, so far I've located this guys facebook account. He has it public, I guess he's complaining about his girlfriend wearing a wire. (Good for him)

All the addresses he has are old and according to his landlord he was evicted from his most recent address. His Co-signer has little to no personal info, or address info, but I might have to splurge on a backround check for him. Any suggestions on a company that would give me the most bang for my buck?

Hopefully he "checks in" to some frequent locations and you may get a shot at him ..

Good luck on the case..

From what i'm gathering he's getting ready to leave the state. He has family in PA, Looks like he's in a lot of trouble elsewhere.

Talk to his old neighbors, he might have made friends with one of them. Give out your card and ask them to call you if they hear anything. Co-signer is on the hook for the 750$ make sure he knows that, he knows more then what he's telling you. He knew him good enough to co-sign. Let the co-signer know the guy won't know who told you where he is. I know your trying to get in the business but don't go broke for 75$. Google his name and try some free sites. Just a few suggestion and you might know this already.

Whenever I get a case where a person is jumping around I look for 2 things. Patterns and familiarities. If he is going from house to house to house. Or hotel to hotel, see if a patterns emerges (if you can track him that is). you just might be able to head him off. If that fails talk to friends and family about his habits. Does he drink? If you know an area he might be in, hit the local stores that sell beer or liquor. Try and find the ones with the lowest prices (people on the run tend not to have lots of money). Show his pics to some local bartenders in the area. This technique is harder and not easy in a larger cities but it works for me more often then not.

I found a skip because I found out he was a scratch ticket fanatic. I hit all the local stores till I found somebody that recognized him. She told me he came in every day around 4... Made a apprehension at 3:40 the next day.

It can take a while to track somebody down. Don't be afraid to talk to people. Make contacts on the street (our local prostitutes have a wealth of info to share for only $20).

Funny you said that, I caught a guy based on the lottery tickets left on the dashboard of a car abandoned at the last hotel he lived at. The lottery commossion gave me the stire the tickets were purchased at. All tickets purchased on a Thursday. We got him after a short chase and an open field tackle in a freshly plowed field! He said he ran because he didn't think my fat ass could catch him, surprise surprise, I ran a 4.9 40 in full pads in college!

Well this guy is a meth head, I've heard he likes to roam around a small town and smoke cigarettes by garages and enjoy his high there.

So i think the only way i'll be able to track this guy down is by hanging out in the neighborhood for 6 or 8 hours until i spot him...seems like an awful amount of work.

Think i'll run the co-signer and see if i can locate him.
