Yes, you must be licensed in NC to do any Bail related work. A secretary that is not licensed as a Bail agent can't collect monies, talk about bond premiums with prospective clients etc etc. No bounty hunting is allowed here either. NC and Florida are almost identical in the bonding laws. Example: Bill wants me to apprehend someone for him. I can only do that if I'm appointed by the same insurance company as Bill. (I'm appointed by numerous companies) If anyone is ever in doubt about apprehending a fugitive in NC, feel free to call me and I'll walk you through it. This state is a tough one when it comes to anything Bail related. You can, however, apprehend your own skip if licensed in your state and you can hire another licensed agent who is appointed by your insurance company to make the arrest. Make dang sure all your paperwork is in order.
