Friends,
I am out on a day of R&R with the Boss. I will fill you all in tomorrow after I get back from doing a bail Ed class in Sac. It is real chicken crap what is going on and we need to fill everyone in so that we can get pass this. Sorry but I am on my iPhone and I can barely see to read and type.

As far as I am concerned, there is nothing to get past. We have NABBI members that have worked and were instrumental in the organization of this group and have been at every formulative meeting from the very beginning. That holds much more credence with me then verbal detractors with a list of excuses of why they can't or won't do something. When I read or hear these arguments, all I hear is blah, blah, blah I don't have the balls to commit to something that takes effort and will benefit my competition as well as me. Tom, this is a business of Type A personalities, not easily led or focused. It is far easier to attack the one who surpasses you in this business then it is to be as or more successful then them. You owe no explanation, and it will not change my opinion of you either way.
Personally, I have had people that I trained think that they now know it all, leave and summarily fail. I have had others that feel that if they make the apprehension that I have spoon fed to them with a complete investigative work up, that they should get all of the money. The list goes on, but it falls into the category of people who are qualified followers with illusions of grandeur. Believe me when I tell you that I have plenty of my own detractors. I do not apologize for my success, my work ethic or my principles, and neither should you.
I have nothing bad to say about any of the detractors, yours or mine, I just put them into a special category.
Scott

Hi gang,
Back in the office after a long day in Sacramento leading a couple of bail classes.
I spoke by pm with one person that has "issues" with NABBI. I then spoke with one of our NABBI board members, who is a target of one of the issues.
To me it is, I actually don't know how to characterise it other than to same this one issue is a personal one. Which I think then leads to finding perceived faults in other areas.
I know this is kinda of cryptic but in order to not feed the feeding frenzy, if anyone wants specfics, call me.
The one other issue, is having board members who are not "bail agents" or "bail recovery agents" as full members of NABBI. According to one person and maybe others that agree with this person, it does not maintain the "integrity" of NABBI.
Other than not being able to travel to NABBI events because of financial reasons, there was no other reasons this person gave for not joining or supporting NABBI.
So, as I stated before I really don't have time to respond to FB complaints or mudslinging. So, I will peek at it every now and then but will rarely spent much time posting there.
To be honest, I never really got into the FB, Myspace and Tweeter things. I see so much "garbage" on most of the forums that to me it is a big waste of time to filter through it all. And I am not pointing fingers at the recent NABBI v other group stuff either.
Hope not to hurt many feelings but I don't care to see a 1000 pictures of your grandbaby. Ones enough. Don't need to read about you having dinner at Hometown Buffet, etc. Don't ask me to play one of those games I never heard. And complete strangers don't ask to friend you. I have no idea what all that does anyway.

Its a matter of degrees, Tony but, truth told, we do not have any board members who are neither bail agents or bail recovery agents.

I do not post often but I think we need to regain focus and not worry about the school yard B.S. Who cares what is being said by a very small group of people that didn't have the heart or consciousness to participate and make their voices heard when it was time to speak. Its their loss! My feelings are; If you have participated from this organizations inception, paid your dues, invested your time and money into forming NABBI, you have a vested interest in this organization and therefore you have earned the right to be a full founding member. Period!
There is always going to be opponents, if there wasn't we wouldn't need an organization.

I know our focus has been constant since last June. NABBI has clear goals and objectives.
I think that as we cast our nets wide and far, we pick up some "throw aways" that we were hoping would join and be a productive part of moving the profession forward.
But, there are plenty of fish in the sea and we are only beginning.
