Albuquerque, NM (AHN) – Robert Turner, a 37-year-old bounty hunter, was looking for a woman wanted for failure to appear in court. Unfortunately, he used an old address and the home he raided now belongs to a police officer.
Turner was subsequently arrested for breaking and entering. His bond was set at $5,000.
According to a Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court complaint, Turner arrived at the home and saw a police car parked in the driveway and assumed it belonged to a neighbor.
When no one answered the door, he went to the back door, which he says was unlocked. He entered the house, announced who he was and scoured the home – until he found a police badge.
Officers called the number on a business card he left at the home and later determined the back door was unlocked when Turner initially arrived.
