Rod Mitchell, here. I am the executive producer of American Bounty Hunter. I have received numerous calls and forwarded emails since a message I sent to a female recovery agent was posted on your forum. Our show, American Bounty Hunter, is not to be confused with the 1997 show, Bounty Hunter. I have heard that some of the agents involved with that show never received promised compensation. I know nothing about that, but I do know that all of the recovery agents we featured in our show were paid. Then, like now, we provide a signed written agreement, and all who participate under that agreement will be paid. Our show then, as now, is being produced to put a more professional face on your industry, as compared to shows that are currently on the air. I have worked with your industry for nearly 10 years, and any board member of any of the national bail or recovery organizations know my work well and will vouch for me. This includes Scott Olson, Bob Burton, and dozens and dozens of others. If you go to: www.bailskip.com you can read about our show. We understand your concerns and the terrible image currently portrayed on television. This will not happen with our show, I can assure you! We will not be working with want-be hunters. We are not featuring one individual hunter and his dysfunctional family. Our crews are traveling across the country working with those who call this industry their career. As we are about to finalize a network deal, we again hear about other shows that are springing up without any involvement, input or support from your industry. We would not have moved forward into production without that support. We feel very blessed to receive the input, guidance, support and encouragement from many professionals within your industry. This insures that our show will be accurate, ethical and professional, and hopefully a show that will make your industry proud. If you have any questions, please call me anytime at: 281-350-5506. I invite your questions and comments. Thank you.

There you go... a person can't be any more open that that. I first spoke with Mr. Mitchell about one year ago and heard nothing but good things since then.
As I previously posted... American Bounty Hunter has no affiliateion with the other production companies.

It is surely refreshing to see a media outlet that understands what almost all of us have been trying to say and get done for a vey long time. I for one look forward to seeing the show that you have produced. This industry has had enough of the clowns and wanna-bees shown and, they have clearly not helped put forth a positive image.

Thank you for working on our behalf to portray us as pseudo-law enforcement professionals doing a dangerous but important job, that most people, including CJ personnel, don't even understand.
I can't tell you how many times I have been asked by Law Enf. professionals about our powers, rights, and authority. I am looking forward to your program being done in an educational and informative format so that the general public becomes educated and understanding of our industry.
If I may be of service to you in any way, please do not hesitate to call upon me.

Make sure if any one is interested in being on this show you let him know! Don't be afraid to ask any questions! When we spoke he was very concerned with portraying Bondsmen/women and their recovery operatives in a postive and truthful light. He was also very eager to ally any fears and conerns regarding the show as well as clearing the air regarding that 'other' show. The night we spoke and learned of the concerns on this forum he immediately joined the forum, logged in, and posted the details.

Just curious as to how many agents here have looked into this further, how many of you have already been contacted, and when this show is going to air. This appears as though this maybe a positive impact.

I have been contacted and I know a couple of others that have as well. It isn't something that I want to do at this time, but that is just me. I have heard from another female that she has accepted to do a show for Bail Chix. Maybe some later date...

I have spoken to Rod a number of times and find him to be a reputable and fair man .he says what he will do and gets it done--few and far between these days. In my opinion he will show us in a postive and proffessional manner--we need to support productions like this one to ensure our survival

I attended the N.I.B.E. Training in Lansing, MI in Sept. '05 and Mr. Olson asked the class if there were any of us who were interested in being on the show.
He also mentioned a show "in the works" called "Bail Chix" featuring women agents (?N.I.B.E. graduates/N.E.A. members preferred?) and asked URGED women to look into this!!! Women ARE under represented in this industry and we need GOOD women agents to help establish the desired reputation of the PROFESSIONALS out there.
Check out the websites to satisfy curiosity and answer most questions... It's worth the visit!

If you have any questions, contact him through the N.I.B.E. or you can contact Mr. Burton as well. They SHOULD be able to help. Either that or contact Mr. Mitchell.
