Too bad that it cannot be (or isn't) used in the Jails.
So often they come in so very very HIGH that they are difficult to talk to. They have started holding them a minimum 8 hours same as a DWI.
That would also make a great tool in their (Jail) bag of goodies.
I think that I shall mention that to the Jail Admin . . . .

I think that I shall mention that to the Jail Admin . . . . It is only good for Opioid based narcotics and or heroin, morphine drugs like that..... and it produces or rare instances side effect of: change in mood, increased sweating, nausea, nervousness, restlessness, trembling, vomiting, allergic reactions such as rash or swelling, dizziness, fainting, fast or irregular pulse, flushing, headache, heart rhythm changes, seizures, sudden chest pain. It is my favorite because it brings them down quick where I am not fighting the patient.....and I like to ruin their HIGH most of all... plus it saves thier life alot of the time... You dont know how many times I have brought back these overdose patient and got cussed out because I ruined their HIGH!!!! I should also mention alot of the times my patient get woke up from the NARCAN due to they are unconscious ...... if we are lucky the NARCAN brings them out of the HIGH!

Downers seems to be all the rage these days  do not see any fun in that. That is most of what is being used now around here. Still got the methheads but the downer freaks are starting to really surface. My patience wears a bit thin when they are trying to dig their money outta their wallets to pay for a drink at the store where I work part time. I almost want to reach over and say "here let me get that for you"

One pill aka OXY is worth depending on the mg's can go for upwards to a $100.00. And it is killing alot people. I averaged 5 overdoses a week up until I got off the truck in June. Meth while it is around here is not as bad as the "KILLERS" are. I just want to SHAKE these people and get them to realize the are playing roulette......because it takes just one time they hit the wrong receptor and they are DEAD....nothing I can do for them....

It is very sad . . . But we have become a Society that for some reason thinks that if it can just keep the boogies (Reality) away we will be ok.
Not me . . . I like living in the Real World and knowing what is going on in me and around me.

Me too!!! But sometimes I feel HELPLESS that I could not reach that person in time.....Then I have to come back to earth and tell myself I didnt make them OD or I didnt make them put that gun to their head.....and go on to the next call...
