PHONE SPAMMER ALERT NY based in California?

The AIA alert is the same alert that I started. I notified the sureties that I had emails for and they are contacting all of their agents.

I have talked with a couple of bail agents that have also received death threats from one or both of the guys we think that may be involved. One agent is in Pleasanton CA right next to the area that the calls MAY be coming from and the other is in Marin County just north of San Francisco.

As I get more info I am passing it along to the DOI and hopefully they will open a case and investigate these guy(s) and catch them.

Please email, call or fax any local pd report #s that you make regarding these calls. Hopefully that will also help get LE involved on our end.

BTW, they are still using the phone # 925-549-0573. Both agents out here used it to call the guy(s) back and they answered the phone.

Such idiots.

Update!

He is still at it. Still working out on Northern CA.

His latest version is he will call bail agents, usually early morning 1 to 5 am hoping to catch a sleepy agent and get a bail clients name and number.

He then calls the client and demands more money or he will throw the defendant back in jail.

Instead of having money wired, he tells the client to buy a Visa gift card at WalMart, Walgreens, etc. I don't know how he planned on getting the cards as in each case, the family told him to bugger off and cut him off before getting anymore information from him.

So, the CA Dept of Insurance stated that they do not have jurisdiction as they only regulate bail agents. They believe that he is NOT a licensed bail agent.

So, I will call the CA Attorney General office on Monday and file a report with them. Since he is impersonating a law enforcement officer, hopefully they with take the case and work it.
