Group,
I have a friend that was picked up in Oakland, CA on a warrant out Louisiana. It is a no bail fugitive from justice warrant, number LIN42004.
When I talked with the jail they said it was a "state" warrant. Not from a particluar county. Does anyone know the numeclature of LA warrants? Was this one issued by the state?
Any info would be greatly appreciated. This guy may have to sit over the weekend until we can figure this out.

Tony,
Being from LA a no bail warrant is issued by the state for parole violation or a no show for sentencing and the number is from The State Of Louisiana

Thanks David!
The more I thought about this, the more I guess that this was the case.
He had a theft charge back several years ago and he thought his father had hired a lawyer to take care of it. Evidently that did not happen.
According to him it was a $500 theft. Do you think the state will extradite? Or allow him to post bail here in CA?
I am trying to get as much info as I can to at least let him know what may or may not happen to him.

They have changed administration down there a couple of times since i left in 1998 at that time the would only extradite from a 5 state area for a $500 theft charge
