Hello guys, I'm new to the Network, and just have a quick question.

I am going to be honest, I have absolutely no idea what you guys are talking about, or even the first thing about being a Fugitive Recovery Agent, so please, have some patience, haha :)

I have spent the last 5 hours researching online about the laws and rules of "Bounty Hunting" in Mass, and the surrounding areas. Mass has very few limits to pursuing and apprehending fugitives, so I would like to start here and "get my foot in the door". Maine and Vermont also have no restrictions, so I think I would stick to these three states, and once I pick up experience, branch out to surrounding states.

I am planning to take a few classes and courses to get the basics down, and would like to start as soon as possible!

Here's a quick question for you guys, If I am operating as an Independent Agent (Bondsmen call me, or send a case), do I need to register a business/company name, or can I just use my real name and work as a "freelancer"?

Also, any additional tips would be appreciated as well.

Thanks very much,

Nick.

Ok Nick... here we go...

First, set up your signature line so we know a little about you.

Take a look at these two threads in the Public area and after researching in those two areas, you should have a very light handle on what is happening here and how to move forward.

viewforum.php?f=30 "Facts"

Research, reading and diligence will go far to help you. I will tell you up front, answering your questions probably is gonna be up to you to find the answers... I say this every time a new persons jumps in here................. please note...

EVERY SINGLE QUESTION YOU HAVE, HAS BEEN ANSWERED ON THIS WEBSITE... READ, READ AND SEARCH... YOU CAN FIND THE ANSWERS AND THEY WILL CERTAINLY MEAN MORE IF YOU FIND THEM YOURSELF... we won't spoon feed anyone here but you can learn a tremendous amount on your own if you are willing to do the deal. This business is a self starter type and you need to learn that if nothing else ......... from day one.

Good luck and welcome to FRN.

Nick
If you have determined that MA has no rules, you need to go back and review what you read or change sources, because absent that, you will be in jail rapidly. First, ascertain how many bondsmen there are in MA from the state department of insurance.
