There are way to many unanswered questions to this story. My main question would be what gave you the right to run a background check. If your friend feels something is up his best bet would be to go to the police.

It is my right to access public information on any individual, as well as it is my right as a concerned citizen to make sure my friend is safe from someone who may or may not have fled a state to avoid arrest. I agree, there are many questions to this one. And as for contacting the police, they will definitely be contacted in Denver once there is some more legitimacy to this.

Ok, as stated... the key there is public information... criminal history is generally not public information, at least not at the level that you are probably interested in... and without that in-depth information you will not know for sure if that person is in fact wanted or not.... and/or has an active warrant and along those lines... active LE warrants are not provided the general public; in fact even with my DCJS clearances and certifications of such, LE is very reluctant to provide any info relating to active warrants.... and last, it certainly makes sense as you have stated to wait until you have CREDIBLE information on the crime before you contact the LE... cause they won't do anything but listen without good basic intel on the case... from you.

If you have not already discovered... LE, the courts, the judges and all on that legal level have a very reluctance to provide anything to our industry... it takes time to cultivate trust and acceptance in your AO... at that point you may gain whatever info you seek but it just isn't going to be available... at least as I have stated, at the level you may really need to research this question.

Unless you know something i do not..... and that is entirely possible... the normal search engines available to us in our industry will find a lot of info but it is limited even as such.

I get the vibe that this isn't a recovery agent. Another man on a mission, perhaps?

2 different animals Sir. Unless you have a signed authorization . . . you DO NOT have the 'right' to run a background check.
