Since I missed it, I am curious if any of you watched the following TV episode...
Wild Justice: Bounty Hunters. Aired on Wednesday, October 19, 2005
Enter the shadowy world of bounty hunters and follow two hunters as they pursue bail jumpers in New York City and Georgia. Also looks at how some bounty hunters abuse their power. We'll meet bail bondsmen, the head of a bounty hunter association, and victims to see what threat renegade bounty hunters pose to society. TVPG

I had no clue that the such a show was airing, but I'll watch for it out of curiosity.
It is important to bear in mind that anyone of us could be followed by cameras and then made to look any way a producer tells his editor to make us look--if that makes any sense.
A snip here, a cut there, and things can be taken way out of context.
Be careful if you are approached to do TV.

Rex, that makes perfect sense!
The show in question has already aired on television (on the 19th).
I (for one) want to learn from this type of Bail Enforcement documentary, however, this is difficult when the filming is edited for television ratings. I know... it all comes back to the almighty dollar.
I guess I'll just have to get my hands on a couple of Rex's DVD's. For any of you who don't already know, just type www.uenforcebail.com.
Rex, you definitely have my vote of confidence!

I saw that documentary, I know both Mel Barth and Tom Evangelista and I think they gave a fair representation of our industry, I think that was filmed about 4 or 5 years ago so things have changed a bit since then in that many states have enacted licensing requirements since then.

I haven't seen the episode, but since it contains Tom Evangelista it's one of A & E's long-running series "Investigative Reports" aired about three or fours years ago. Apparently, all they've done is just repackage it as a stand alone documentary.
I meant to comment on this earlier. I'm surprised at A & E which airs some good quality shows like "Investigative Reports," "American Justice" and "Cold Case Files," but portrays you-know-who as a legitimate bail enforcement agent. Since they already know of folks like Evangelista, who in my opinion presented a good image of BEAs in the IR episode, why did they choose to showcase Chapman?

Please don't put all TV producers in that category, Rex. Some of us actually care about how your industry looks to the viewing public, and I am one that you can put on that list.

Rod,
Bearing in mind that my reply was simply a cautionary statement, I do apologize if my reply came off too generalized.
Nevertheless, I am looking forward to seeing your work next year, and will be ramping up on my own end, very shortly here, for another DVD as well.
