Fugitive Recovery Liability Insurance

I have never had a problem establishing commercial accounts for either my Private Investigations businesses or Bail Bonds Businesses. As far as liability insurance, I have no experience with any company writing fugitive recovery policies. I am insured under my PI business, and will not publicly list coverages. What are you protecting? That will determine your insurance limits. There also has to be a cost benefit ratio relative to income/expenses in this or any business. Probably one of the reasons that there is not allot of insurance companies lining up to offer products for this category is the number of financially viable candidates. There is such a high turn over in this industry because it is not easy, requires specific skills and patience to be successful. It also requires a volume of bonds to maintain the required cash flow. If the bondsmen aren't writing bonds, there will be no skips to hunt. Hence the need f9or multiple revenue streams, because scared money doesn't make money!

As with all investments in business there is of course risk. While some risk can be minimized by investing as a business grows, some risks have to be taken just to start. As difficult as it is to get a foot in the door in this business I feel the risk of not getting cases far outweighs the risk of losing money on an insurance policy. Too early in the game for me to worry about the ROI.

I don't think I'd want my limits public either.

Bankers Bail , I'm possibly looking into. my PI for MD it's about the only way to get any respect in this state and Insurance companies, as Scott pointed out are happy to give them Insurance but us little guys they don't want nothing to do with, go Figure
