I haven't been here in a while. has any one heard of any new laws or an extension of the existing ones or is it going to be the wild wild west come 2010?

I believe he is referring to California Penal Code 1299 which governs fugitive recovery here in California. As of today, there is nothing new on the books. The last time around (5 years ago) they renewed PC 1299 in the middle of January but as of now, on January 1st we become the wild, wild west again!
