There is no non-residential license for writing bail, but our BEA certs are so loose as to be laughable. Before I got my license to write bail, we had to force our certs on bondsmen to show that we met the requirements for bail enforcement. None of the bondsmen cared whether or not we met the requirements. All they cared about was that they didn't have to pay the bonds.

The Chapmans may meet the requirements, but most of the pros that I know won't work with them. They are a joke, and the only work they get is for the publicity that can be gained from the show. I prefer to stay in the background.

I dont know the out come but he s been sued several times. Monique Shinnery over racist comments. Also on feb 5 2007 in Ha. (realityworld.com) and Aug 18 2006 in Calif. (foxnews.com).
