I absolutely understand,
You must be careful who you talk to in the open forum. I can only say that I am trying to be sure that I have all the information I need before I jump in head first into the business of skip tracing. I have not yet been 1299 certified, however I am planning to be in the near future. Yes, I am in San Diego. Tank you all for your incite you have been very helpful and professional.

Then, one last bit of advice.

Keep or get a day job. You will not survive on BFRP work alone in SoCal.

You have tons of competition that has been at it for years.

The bail volume has decreased significantly in the last 2 years in CA.

Fewer bonds written, tighter underwriting, fewer skips to chase.

AND... don't even think about working across the border. Your career will be very short!

Your best bet is to hook up with an established recovery team. Going solo with no experience or knowledge will get a lot of doors closed in your face.

Yeah, I know........ just the first one to come to mind.... I spent a little time there (among other places) back in the day.......... knew a really nice "Mormon" girl there (45 years ago).... and I think there are a couple of members here that are from that area...

No regulations in California!! ........ wow, that will present Mr. Shwartzenageritsymantermiteater a very large bag of worms to deal with............ I know Tony cannot wait.

Well,

I can understand how 1299 can slip by and expire unnoticed by the politicans. They are too busy passing other more important leg such as;

Banning mail order sales of ammo and requiring buyers of ammo to be fingerprinted EACH time they purchase ammo.

Setting aside one day each year where the schools HAVE to teach tolerance of gays, Harvey Milk Day.

Banning incadescense light bulbs.

Banning plastic shopping bags. Stores must charge customer $0.25 / per bag if they continue to use them

Banning styrofoam takeout food containers.

Keeping the ban on oil exploration and drilling off California's coast.

Building a high speed ( bullet train ) system between San Francisco and Los Angeles, that no one will use.

Granting "in state" tuition rates to illegal students, while out of state legal citizens have to pay a higher rate.

Cutting off water to farms in the central valley to protect a non native fish, the delta smelt, thereby forcing hundreds of farms to stop planting vegetables and killing thousands of fruit and nut trees. Result higher cost of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc and hundreds of legals and "illegals" out of work.

Require that homes for sale meet certain energy requirements such as, if you are selling the washer, dryer and refrigerator with the home, they must be "energy efficient" if not you have to replace them or take them with you. If your home does not pass the "inspection" you have to pay the buyer the cost to upgrade or deduct that amount from the sales price.

Ban Plasma flat screen televisions because they use more energy than LCDs.

Adding bicycle paths, bike racks on buses, bike only lanes in SFand other cities, etc

and on and on and on......
