If anyone has the opportunity to work with Don Herbert or Matt Simmonds of Surety Administrators in Reading, PA you could not find two more professional individuals than they are. They will bend over backwards to assist you in any manner they can.

They are tasked with "cleaning up" the financial horror left in the wake of the Capital Bonding/Vince Smith fiasco. Theirs is not a job I would want, that's for sure.

I would not want their job either, I just can not understand especially in these hard times why it takes 60 - 90 days to get paid. We were starting to do quite a bit of their work in the Carolinas a year back and everything went real well for the first couple of months and then it took 87 days to get paid on a job. I will say that they DID PAY us every dime that was agreed upon that is not what I am printing as my concern. I for one have never questioned the integrity of Mr. Herbert or the tough job that he was left to try and fix. I as a company trying to get back on its feet just can't wait so long to pay my people even though they do get paid eventually.

As always that is just my opinion.

Hounddog... I can just about guarantee you it isn't them. Its the ones just above them who screw things up for those on down. I know that for a fact.

My experience with Don Herbert and Surety Administrators has been positive, Don does whatever he can to help out and has gone out of his way to quickly arrange reimbursement of expenses with cases involving special circumstances, I have not had any trouble getting paid, it really is a tough job for everyone involved because some of the Bonding Agents for Capitol collected very little info when they wrote the bond, the way I look at is that if it were easy they wouldn't need me.

I believe this is an employee issue as employee's want their money when service is provided not 60-90 days, when one has to deal with this issue a company must pull money from somewhere else to pay said employee to keep good people you have to pay them,its not their concern when you get your money that is your problem. One can chalk up a huge amount going out before you see some coming in. I have to agree with Robert that 60-90 days for payment is not acceptable. As some of you know i got into Workman's Comp Fraud Investigations big time this year these insurance companies have paid at seven days net, some have paid in three days after receiving invoice. I also would agree that it is not at Mr. Heberts level as he is not Accounts Payable. Harco should have no problem paying at 30 days net.

I don't know about the payment schedule but I do know that 60 to 90 days is not acceptable. I can see where a 30 day structure might apply when dealing with insurance companies but absolutely no longer.

I think another problem could lie with the attorneys (ha! I used the word 'lie' in the same sentence as 'attorney'). Once an attorney gets involved most situations begin to disintegrate.

What is another name for a sky diving attorney?

Thank you to all who have voiced your opinions and praises about Mr. Simmonds and myself. Both of us work daily to correct the problems created from past management and this has not been an easy road but as problems are identified we try and correct them accordingly and as fast as possible.

All staff here at SAI is aware that payments have been delayed from time to time however; SAI policy is net 30 days for recovery invoices. In specific cases and per SAI contract some recovery payments are delayed until the bail has been exonerated. Such is the case with most out of state incarcerations etc. If at anytime a payment is past 30 days please contact me at anytime for answers, solutions and hopefully expedited payments for outstanding invoices.
