Authorities Search For Escaped Convict

The Prairie County Sheriff's Department along with the Arkansas State pPolice and the Arkansas Highway Police are currently searching for an escaped fugitive by the name of William Blackman.


Blackman is 26-years-old with brown hair and blue eyes. Blackman has a short military style haircut. He was wearing a brown button down shirt brown pants and blue slip on shoes.

Authorities have been searching for him since 6:52 pm. He was being transported by a private transport agency from Houston Texas to Columbia Tennessee.

He is wanted for various felony parole violations and several misdemeanor charges.

Blackman has had training in the United States Marine Corps and is not believed to be armed at this time.

Amazing how a name can pop up and make you stop and think. I have a William (Billy) Blackman on bond but it isn't the same guy. I did look at the file though, even if I know that he hasn't been out of CO for a long time...
