The truth will out eventually. Not all of the facts have been disclosed, either because the police have not issued all of the information or as it often seen, the media outlet has only printed the juicy details.
I would find it hard to believe three well trained agents, all with legal permits would suddenly decide to discharge their weapons for no reason at great personal risk to themselves, their reputations, their employers and the ramifications of lengthy lawsuits. I hope that this eventually be settled in court and does make us look like yahoos who believe they have a license to kill. We do not.

Not even if cops were involved in the shooting, but then again their ROE are probably most vast than the average private citizen's. Like I say though, let the courts decide. Still, I think with today's news involving NYPD, you can take something from that in regards to the differences between what a cop can do, and what we can do. Off-Duty Officer Is Fatally Shot by Police in HarlemIf this were a TN resident with a handgun permit, the story would be much different.

Well, I probably should have checked the year. I will probably start a thread about the NYPD shooting, because I believe it's worth discussing.

I've been fielding a lot of craziness over this incident (and other industry topics) from all sorts of angles so I've been beating the trail trying to get folks to be supportive and non-judgemental. I definitely do appreciate the folks that are open and have reserved critical comments on the situation. Thanks much for the support!! I still have a problem with the title because "killing" is quite a negative term. "Fatal shooting", for instance, would be a much more neutral term. "Bounty Hunters Kill" is, to me, and inflamatory and sensational headline. Of course it's entirely up to the poster to use whatever terminology perfered, and the thought might not even have come up. I will just keep doing my thing and providing my own perspective on what I see and hear, no offense folks! So far there are some sketchy issues related to the entire incident, but things are still looking positive for the agents. No word yet on prosecutor's position or intention but I will be sure to keep you guys posted as soon as I hear more. Even though you all have been in this business for quite sometime,I would have to agree with the titile,"Bounty Hunters Kill", being too stong; like RWB stated,"this heading is better served to sell papers". The media is not to concerned about how the public preceives a bounty hunters image, its forums like this that help give a better understanding.

The proper authorities already stated that no charges will be filed. Prosecutors determined that the man was killed in self-defense.
