David,

I'm familiar with Blackwater (good company I hear) tried to get on to go to iraq but I didn't have the Special Operations requirements to do so (No rangers or special forces, only a measely infantryman LOL).

A friend of mine who was in one of the Ranger Chalks on the ground in Mogedeshu (blackhawk down) tried to go as well and he had the background but they never replied to his inquiry (I did get a reply, but I think that was just because I had a better put together resume LOL) Of course there were and are quite a lot of ex specialforces and rangers as well as all sorts of ex special ops trying to get hired to go to iraq... big money.

I am also familiar with Blackwater's requirements and I could pass everything but a two mile run these days lol! Oh yeah, their credit check thingy states no bankrupcy and well, after my divorce I got stuck with all the bills and I had to declare and it was within 7 years (she's still sticking it too me it seems even after the divorce LOL)

I'll go ahead and fire off another resume to them again just in case.

(Oh yeah, as I recall that old saying ended with "Let them run down and screw one of the cows and I"ll WALK down and F@CK them all! LOL)

I hear that they have wi-fi in some areas down there now.

Thanks for the Info Rex,

I have sent my resume, hope I get to go! I spoke to Wackenhut who says I qualify for their CPO program but the pay is ALOT less and I'd have to be hired by Wackenhut... that and I think they have a problem with firearms... talked to the fellow out of Louisville who says they are supplying revolvers and 9mm semi's randomly and will not allow use of one's own sidearm, even if you qualify with it and have the proper equipment.

I guess that some of the rest of the story is coming out. It turns out that the President had to order the Mayor of New Orleans to order an evacuation. Also it turns out that the President offered Federal help but that the Governor refused to sign off on the papers to allow it. I know this is coming from mostly news media but, they tend to slant stories against Bush and it seems they are reporting stories which would allow him an out.

I am sure that in the months to follow we will hear more of the truth about why the Louisiana Government Structure would not let the Federal Government in to help right away. Maybe they were totally and mentally in shock and did not know what to do, anyones guess at this point.
