I agree this woman has some issues, shes probably like one of the many housewives that fall in love with the characters from soap opera's and maybe one day she will be visited by one of us ( hoping that the Chapman shows up). lol

MsLori

While I appreciate your seemingly candid, yet cryptic opinion, BEAs on this forum generally take a few moments to offer their thoughts and ideas as a service to new BEAs and in the best interests of the trade.

It would appear that you attempted to quantify or otherwise render your opinion as authoritative by suggesting a compensated occupation.

May I suggest that you consider the fact that published authors do frequent this forum to the extent that you are not a stand alone member in terms of literary accomplishments and should therefore avoid condescension of non-published authors herein.

Rex

That last line from Ms. Lori reminds me of all the people I gave traffic citations to who told me "shouldn't you be out catching real criminals!?"

My reply, accompanied by a nice citation, "I AM..." LOL.

I do not think Ms. Lori is a BEA or even interested in becoming one... It appears that, in addition to being a "professional screamer", she writes a blog.

I thought that we removed all non-BEA types from this site ?....

I think anyone wishing to sign up here should have to provide to the administrator or moderator a copy of thier CURRENT PI/BEA license or certification before being approved for membership.

This way we can control this website and prevent all of the porno links, idiots, "Dog" fans, and non BEA personnel from typing up this resource.

Just an idea.

Ruffin

To my knowledge this site has always been a public forum to require a certificate or license to become a member here would make it a closed forum. I do not think that was the intent of the owner. There are more Moderators here now than there has been at any time, now i do not know to what extent the moderators have as to Banning, this policy would be granted by the owner of the forums. I believe Hounddog has addressed this issue with the owner as to moderators policing the new members, i don't know if anything has come of it.

This is an open forum without any requirements of certification or licensing. By the way I fixed her signature she spelled "God" wrong.

The question of this being open or closed isn't the issue..it is open..and should remain so; I was not advocating closing it. However, I was advocating some form of validation or proof that a person is a Licensed PI/BEA. If they aren't, then they have no business being here posting unrelated, useless, junk commentaries.

Like anything else, we do need some form of control here to keep it focused and guided on its original mission: professionals networking with each other for the common good of the industry.

Otherwise, we will end up with more porno links and unrelated personnel wasting our time with unrelated discussions.

I don't agree with non-BEA's/PI's being allowed on here. There are plenty of other websites "spammers" can go annoy.

Ruffin.

I think this topic should be moved to the "jokes" section where it belongs. You guys are making fun of her "tongue in cheek" remarks, which she pointed out herself, if you had read further down, when somebody took her seriously and agreed with her. Even outsiders can be interested in the profession and have interesting things to say. They shouldn't be arbitrarily attacked or banned.

I do, however agree that people who join should have their websites checked out before allowing them to be listed. When I look at members' sites and see that it is a porn or drug spamming site, those sites and members should be banned. Personally, I think these sites should be banned from the internet and the virus spreading spammers that put them out there all thrown in jail and the key thrown away. Actually, I would wish for a harsher punishment, but decided to be nice lest I offend someone  .

I did a fast check on new sign-ups...
441, 463, 467 478, 482, 491 all for "cheap software"
443, 449, 453, 459, 471 all porn sites
454, 457, 458, 466, 477, 489 prescription drugs
476, 479 mortgage loans
474 "Rolex"

OK, maybe some people with a legitimate reason to peruse this forum have some of these sites, but considering I get over 100 emails a day for this same S**T, I doubt it.
