I kinda knew a redhead about 30 years ago.
A bunch of co workers and I went camping just south of Green Bay. Yep, that Green Bay. Our lady friends were coming up on Saturday after us men folk got everything set up on Friday nite.
I had a van that all I had to do was fold down the back seats and presto, you got a bed. My buddy couldn't figure out how to set up his 5th wheeler in the dark. So we did what any red blooded American guys would do. We went into town and found a bar!
Probably only Icer would know this but in Wisconsin EVERY bar has a fish fry special on Fridays. All you can eat fish and at least at the time, $1.50 pitchers of beer. So we drank more than we ate.
Anyway, we are talking about redheads.
So Clint and I met some youny ladies. Heck I was young then also. We bought the drinks since a buck fifty went a long way.
The lady I was talking with was a redhead. Things were going great until we finally told each other our names. Her name was Debra.
Because I had several pitchers of beer in me, I did not think before I said, Damnit, my ex is name Debra. I hate that name.
She proceeded to plant a left hook to the right side of my head.
The next morning I woke up half in half out of the sliding side door of my van.
The rest of that weekend is still a blur.
