Bounty hunter catches bail skipper

A Jersey City man who skipped on $50,000 bail after pleading guilty to two separate drug charges was nabbed Monday by a bounty hunter in Greenville, officials said.
Adel Mikhaeil, a private fugitive recovery agent, said he was driving on Stegman Street with two of his agents when they spotted Jermaine O. Wilson, 23, in a car with several other people. Mikhaeil said he called the Jersey City Police Department and then followed Wilson to Virginia Avenue, where Wilson and the others bailed out of the car, running in different directions.
Mikhaeil and his agents caught Wilson after a chase and, after a brief struggle, slapped the cuffs on him and turned him over to the Hudson County Sheriff's Office, Mikhaeil said.
Wilson will be held without bail until his sentencing, Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said. The judge may consider his flight a reason for a more severe sentence, DeFazio added

Now that is a nice positive news story. Just a thought, back in the day, whenver we made a felony arrest or there was an accident with injuries, the officer reporting had to fill out a news release which was reviewed by the shift commander and then put in a box for the reporters to come and get. We did this for obvious reasons as well as to show the public we were doing our jobs.
Perhaps when a bail bondsman/woman, agent, or whatever you are termed in your state of business, makes a pickup of a fugitive for felony charges, one should make a copy of the warrant and a brief informational on the pickup (minus any ssn or addresss or phone numbers). It may let the citizens as well as the media realize exactly how many felons are running around as well as the good job "bounty hunters" are doing.
