I am new to the industry. I have been wanting to get into this line of work for awhile now. I am currently still deployed to Iraq on my 2nd tour, but I am returning in a month. I would like to know from and current SC BEA's or anyone with knowledge of SC laws on the industry to chime in with any hints or tips. I know I have to get sponsored by a licensed bail bondsman, and take the state exam to be licensed as a "runner".
I have tons of experience in combat situations. I have operated in Baghdad, Iraq 25/48 months of my military service. I am very knowledgable about hostile situations and anything that comes my way. I read people like books.
Well I'm getting out of the Army, and figured I could apply myself to this industry with all my experience.
Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks
Justin

Welcome to the forum, Justin.

I would suggest that you read, read, and read the posts in here. A lot of your questions will be answered and you will learn valuable information. If you want info on a specific topic, use the search feature. There is a lot of good stuff in older posts that got buried with time. Feel free to post in them and bring them back to the front if it is a discussion you want to continue.

Thanks. I have done some research. I'm still a little leary on where to get my footing in this business. I have started by arranging class dates to attend a 20hr pre licensing class for a runner. In SC you need to be employed by one single bondsman. Really sucks that you can freelance. Takes alot of the marketing your business out of the loop. In any event though, I suppose I will attend this class in August and see where it takes me. Won't hurt to get the license then try to find a decent employer.
