Is this allowed?

Hello I came across the board out of curiosity about a neighbor I have. I live in Miami, Florida and I recently moved and I noticed that someone who lives in my building had a state/federal vehicle, or so I thought. Upon closer inspection, the decals (which are ALL over the cars hood, rear, and sides) say Fugitive recovery. Ok, so my mind immediately went to bounty hunter. But my questions are, is this guy really allowed to have all these decals all over his car? I mean he has a GIANT one on the hood, a k-9 unit sticker on his rear glass, the decals and tape on the sides look like a police car, and he even has red/blue lights on the inside of the car in the rear window and the front. arent lights like that illegal for civilian vehicles? Why does he need all of this. I briefly went through the forums and read that BH vehicles should be stealthy and blend in so as to better serve their purpose.

Is this guy just glorifying what he wishes he was? a federal/state officer? correct me if im wrong I do noit mean to offend anyone, I am just very curious because thats an awful lot of bells and whistles on a car for his profession.

I would contact your local pd or so and let them look into it.

Most states require a permit for lights, but red/blue are usually reserved for police officers and their vehicles...
I agree with Ruffin...call Miami PD and run it by them...give them the plate # too...

Why make an issue out of somthing that should not concern you, unless you are a fugitive. Secondly if you are that interested in what he does why not ask him directly.

Some people just like to be in all the business.
If it affects you then worry if not then leave it alone.
I would think that if the vehicle is that noticeable then everybody else notices it as well.......including LE.

If your that worried about it then ask him, like DSI said, he is your neighbor....unless you are a fugitive and Mark is right "the great big bad bounty man gets you."

Ok people...no need to be insulting here, even in a joking manner....remember we aren't supposed to be smart asses to newbies anymore ?...

Besides, the last thing this industry needs is another negative headline. We all know red/blue lights are illegal in a BEA car, and there is the possibility that the owner of this vehicle is impersonating Le. It wouldn't be the first time.

Remember also that alot of women have been raped by "fake" police cars ? Especially in Florida.

So maybe this car/person does need to be checked out ? Remember Michael Barber had his vehicle all decked out with decals and shields ?

Just my thoughts.

Maybe a call to LE is justified here....after all if the BEA is legitimate he/she will understand the concern.
