I thought eveyone might like to know how the antics of one well-known bounty hunter is used for political fodder.

Also, when in Parkersburg, West Virginia, you might want to mind you're "p's" and "q's" when dealing with the county prosecutor

The judge's decision was a very positive point on our side, despite the DA's attempts. Fortunately the BEA apparently did everything right and won his case. This isn't always the case, so each has to be judged on its own merits. However, this might be a good case law to keep in mind for future reference.

No, I don't ever let a skip out of my sight or control. Plus I don't let them reach for things, too dangerous. Could be guns, knives, chemical sprays, etc.

Remember anything can be a weapon..a lit cigarette, cup of coffee, can of hairspray, or any areosol for that matter, belt, shoes, esp steel toed ones or stiletto heels. I always ask them what garments they want and get them for them and hand them to them only after a thorough search of the articles.

The one exception is during extradition, of a female, and she has to use the rest room. I clear the room first, making sure there aren't any escape routes, let her in, wait outside the door, then when she exits, return her to the vehicle.

Ruffin are you saying that you will transport a female alone? Not even LE is supposed to transport a female without a female transport person.
WAY too much risk not to.

We always try to have a female present for transport of female prisoners (usually me) but when that isn't possible, the guy's make sure that any female contact is within view of the other BEA, or other prisoners if any. We are very careful of any contact, and require medical proof of any claimed impropriety. Any transport usually only lasts for less than the "evidence" period, so can be proven or disproven very quickly.
