If I promise to use only a white strobe on my mirrored disco ball, can I keep it in my Crown Vic? It keeps the skips occupied on the trip back to jail.

The 2 most requested songs are;

" I Will Survive" and " Shake Your Booty"

But it doesnt say that Bail agents cant either.
I didnt say go try to pull people over.

Name me 1 person who got put in jail for using safety lights.
There not gonna fault you for being safe!

How are you a wanna be if you use white strobe lights, Police use red or blue or both.

I never had any trouble using strobe lights, I even had cops pass by me, And not even bat an eye.I only use them when i block a car in a parking lot, Or when i want others to slow down when come our way....For our SAFETY!!

I never known a judge to throw anyone in jail for being SAFE!
I had many police assistance also, And they never gave us any trouble about any of our tactics or equipment used to recover.I actually had a cop tell us to carry more than 1 gun, that our taser & pepper spray wasnt enough.

I think you are from a small town or city, things are alot different in a big city.
Thats why alot of people hate "DoG"
But how many of you was shot in the head?
After you been shot in the head, You change your tactics.

So just to make you guys happy, Dont use strobe lights, Youll be put in prison for the rest of your life, For being a poser!!

I would like to see one of you that think you can just walk up and tell someone there under arrest, Come to my city and try that stuff.
Youll get you butt wipped severly.Alot of you say try to look like the average joe, But when your the only white guys in a black side of town, You already look suspicious to them.
So i wear a bullet proof vest on every arrest.

Quote:
And the part of the law that Green Beret (sic) didn't quote was the part that said they could only be used as a traffic hazard warning.

And arresting somebody while in traffic would be a perfect example.

You dont have to make up stories about talking to a police chief in arizona, It actually makes you look like an unreliable source of information.
I have family in arizona, And checked the laws before i went there.
they told me using WHITE strobe lights is perfectly fine and legal!
as long as i didnt act like law enforcement and used them in the appropiate situation.Use common sense ect....

I never said i just ride around with them on, I think you need to retire.
Your stuck in the old days.Come to my city and become an agent, I garauntee you never catch 1 skip with your tactics. No one ever has using them tactics.

Im willing to bet most of who replied with a negative post, Is from a small city or town!

Sometimes it is our best interest to educate . . . BUT then again . . . sometimes it is not 8)

Thank you, At least you didnt post just to bash

What works for you in your AO is your style. however, trying that in other areas where you are not known to LE could get you arrested.

No one has said anything to you or to anyone else about wearing a BP vest. In fact, just the opposite. Most of us advocate wearing one.

All i read was, Wear normal clothes, No badge, ect....Pretty much, Look like joe smoe.

I agree, Doing something like that in another town, May get you harrassed by cops, But i actually checked myself, Thats the only reason i replied.

A agent has been shot here before using them, Walk up in regular clothes, No badge, No weapon tactics.

All cities and towns arent the same.Thats why you need to ask, but when people ask here, They get steered in all different directions and basically usually the question never gets answered.

Looks like i livened the forums up :P
Didnt mean to bust blood vessels

Heres your smiley btw Image

I think you sped read those articles.

Permit me to clarify:

Almost all aspects of our industry is under rgulation now by most states. Everything from the clothing we wear to the cars we drive.

Because our industry is based from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, there isn't any one set of guidelines. What may be accepted and legal in your state, may not be in mine.

This is why it may appear that we don't give cut n dried, black n white answers. I don't even know what state you operate in, but I know I am not qualified to guide someone on the states of Montana, Texas, or say Idaho.

This is also why we refer people to thier own court houses, state statutes, and local Leo's. So they do get correct, current information to stay safe and legal.

Additionally, as has been stated repeatedly, each case is different. Some cases may require tactical gear and strategies, some may not. It is up to each individual tracker to determine how best to proceed with the case.

I have no desire to get into a verbal confrontaion with you, Green Beret. I was simply stating the law and the fact that I had talked with a Division Chief of the AZ DPS (not a police chief...significant differance) who was in the Army with me. It is true that every jurisdiction and, many times, every LEO within the juridiction, may have different interpretations of the law.

And, while my office is in a smaller city, the vast majority of my work is in the San Francisco area...not exactly a small town.

I did retire once...from the Army...but I have been doing this for the last ten years, quite successfully, and intend to continue doing so.

P.S. Which group did you serve with?

At this time i cannot discuss wich "group" i served with.I wish i could give more details why.

And i apologize if i offended a fellow military personel.
But would you ever go into battle without your gear? I wouldnt.

Same goes for recoveries.

100% of my recoveries was in a big city.
It just seems that everyone looking for help because there trying to get into the business, You guys chase away(not everyone)

Just like BEA, He asked a question, And didnt get 1 response that was positive.
