I really wish they would put some restriction on the sale of things like this..I saw another agent wearing a hat that said SWAT..I couldn't believe it.

Mark,
I always show up on time regarding a BEA case, and I always pay what I say I will pay and pay it on time; I even go 1 step further and follow up on it with a phone call to make sure the agent got it. I usually send my payments by U. S. postal money order, then by certified mail, return reciept requested, AND overnight express delivery; Thereby giving me 3 different methods of tracking, 2 with reciepts of delivery.
Second comment: The useage of titles in some states is illegal. Again, I caution you to check other state's laws when operating in thier jurisdiction.
For example, in the state of Fl. If you declare yourself as a bounty hunter, bail enforcement agent, etc etc for the purposes of free lance commercial bounty hunting, you have just committed a class C felony.
Additionally, try calling any of the Southern States Lea's and referring to yourself as a "Special", "sr", agent etc..and see how much co-operation you get from them. Anytime I call upon them, and they think I am a cop, the very first thing I do is correct them very quickly. This has actually gotten me the same level of cooperation from them if not better, s if I were a Leo.
Titles are nothing more than ego strokes. If you are that insecure about who and what you are that you have to live by diplomas, medals, certificates, titles, etc...then this is not the field for that kind of person.
There is a school of thought taught in psychological profiling and business strategies. If you walk into an office, and the walls are adorned with all kinds of recognitions for whatever, then you are dealing with a sensitive ego personality type. By the same token, you walk into a seasoned person's office, and there are few if any "ego strokes" on the walls, desks, etc..then you are dealing with a low profile, secure personality who is confident in themselves and thier abilitites. So much so, they don't feel the need for "ego strokes".

Just curious,
If you walk into our office and see lots of pictures, figures and calendars of Pomeraneans, what do you make of us?

Damn,
Gona have to re decorate. Don't want all our clients thinking we a bunch of softies. I have a bunch of photos with local politicians, police chief and sheriff. I've kept them in a drawer in the back office. I think I will hang them out front now and go by the nick name of "Bloodhound." Or maybe Sgt. Death. Agent Mortality. Private Hunter. Corporal Punishment. Lt. Lynch.

Tony,
You kill me! We have Scottish Terriors on our walls because we raise them and they love us back. Animal lovers are compassionate people!v(tear).
Mindtracker, didn't mean to put you into an embarrasing position. I remember that guy. The discussion was whether or not to pay a Hunter that effects exoneration on his bond without ever touching him. He said that there was no way he would ever pay someone who relived him of his responsibility but didn't cuff the guy. We were discussing mitigating liabiity. He said that we have never hunted or brought in anyone dangerous. Rather than read him my resume, i agreed and publicly stated that he is the Number 1 Bounty Hunter in the US.
I hope you all can surpass his standards and exploits!
I agree with the Psychological profile with one exception. Time is money. When a client comes into one of my offices and sees my licenses and certifications, I do not need to take up valuable time selling myself. I let the credentials speak for themselves. The rest is identifying needs, signing contracts and servicing the customer.
Scott

Scott,
You didn't do it..fate did..aka murhpy's law....out of the 200+ people there naturally I had to sit by the 1 rambo-john wayne-sgt. york-lone ranger of the group who already knew it all.
I just didn't want to be guilty by proximity....remember, I was the one in a suit n tie...lol

I hang my Bachelor's degree diploma and my CPA certification on my office wall, but nothing else. I have pics of my new grandbaby laying around, though and these draw more interest than anything else .
