Police responded to an emergency call, in which the caller stated that three individuals entered his home, armed with weapons. The called told police he exchanged gunfire with the suspects.
When police arrived, two suspects who had been shot were pronounced dead at the scene; the third suspect fled on foot.
The right lane of Route 460 east was closed Sunday afternoon, as Virginia State Police assist Prince Edward County officers in searching for the escaped suspect.
It is believed that the suspect, described only as a black male, got into a vehicle on Route 460.
The bodies of the two deceased suspects were transported to the medical examiner's office in Richmond for identification and cause of death. ... guess they picked the wrong house.................. guess it was a good thing that this homeowner had not given up his guns.... what do you think would have happened if he had only the 911 phone call to protect him.... also.... wonder if he was a liberal Democrat.... ???
