What's With People!

Good people are so very difficult to find!

So I was trying to help this person get his bail bond business running, but first let me preface this observation.

When a bail agent calls me to see if I'm interested in posting a bond I respond sharply by a "yes" or a "no."

Okay, so everytime I called this person I got the following: "Uh, well...how much is the bond?"

In other words, if the bond was small he didn't have time or couldn't do it!

I've posted $1,000.00 bonds in the dead of night and out of a sound sleep that later turned into bigger bonds down the road, but this vision didn't seem to sink in on this matter.

Also, this person would have gotten the client off of my ad!

What gives?

Am I missing something here?

I got started running down bonds for nearly nothing, but my loyalty paid off as sponsorship resulted.

The bondsmen I work for out here is the same way....GREEDY, that man only deals with high amount bonds. Not a problem but if you want more biz' then you need to get out there and bond almost anything! But what do I know about Bonds, I’m just a Fugitive Investigator!

It's the same old story GREED. When i was a managing general agent down in Lousiana i revoked several peoples license due to the fact they would not do small bonds, as you well know alot of small bonds will add up in the long run. Folks this is a BUSINESS

The smallest bond I've written was $250. Since this dummy can't keep his court dates straight or stay out of trouble I've since covered him on about $2000 in all.

The only time I turn down a bond is if I feel it is too risky and/or they don't have the proper collateral or premium. Most of what I write are $1000 or less with the occassional bigger ones to make it worth while. The little ones add up and keep a reasonable paycheck coming in. I get a lot of repeats so it pays to do any that are do-able.
