Happens everywhere.... these agencies (DCJS) in many states... make the rules but then... for whatever reasons... fail to enforce them...

Enforcement is left to the groups themselves... as said... we have to 'clean up ourselves'... but even when the unethical or illegal antics of the few in our profession... is brought to the attention of the authorities or those regulating our industry... nothing is done, or they say... 'not enough evidence' or some other excuse... I have taken pictures, pointed out discrepancies in the wording on business cards, which are in direct violation of the rules... brought to the attention of the authorities... soliciting inside courtrooms or jails... jail employees recommending bondsmen in direct violation... cutting rates, premiums... or even writing for nothing and then trying to collect after release... carrying concealed weapons without being licensed... but... nothing is ever done...

Not just in the bounty hunter arena, but bondsmen alike.... about all we can do is keep our own yard clean and try and do the right thing and represent our business in a straight, ethical and legal manner... cause the ones that won't... will usually just continue to get away with what they do...

Very frustrating.... to say the least.
