I've asked without a reply thus far... does anyone know where (City/State) Tim Johnson was killed? Was the killer caught?

I find it difficult to accept that most of a day has passed since we got the news regarding Tim Johnson and not one person has yet posted what city and state it happened in.

According to Robert Andersons web site Tim Johnson worked in their Carolina division, I have tried searching google for news accounts of such an incident in North & South Carolina however I have not found anything yet.

I hope that each of us consider what it would be like for our families if the same thing happen to us today. If that sounds a bit harsh, perhaps it's time for a career change.

Everyday can be our last and I commend Hgunner for posting first on this. I also would like to know more about this situation if anyone has the specifics.

Perhaps we all send a $20 bill with a card to the family or something rather then attempt to make personal appearances.

If anyone wants to contact the agents’ family or start a fund, let me know. On behalf of California Bail Enforcement Academy, I will pledge $500.00 to get things started.

Any word on what this would entail? Date and location, perhaps?
