The following associations are invited to attend, and delegate structure to the following meeting.

NIBE
NAFRA
NABEA
UARA (Repossessors)
Fugitive Recovery.com Members
North American Recovery Network Members

Anyone interested in attending this meeting may email me directly. We are doing this to save on costs that Convention type meetings cost. If we all pool togeather it will save us a ton of money.....!

We need everyones support to bring the industry back! And in order to do this we all have to be in one accord.

I am calling out to Scott Olson, Scott Maclean, Bob Troiano to contact me about this event. Thank you very much for allowing me to post this here.

I concur that a meeting on a grand scale would stand to benefit the recovery trades.

Personally, I would like to meet with the pros of the trades to exchange thoughts, ideas and to discuss the future of the recovery industry.

Guest speakers would be way cool.

For example, we could have BE/Repo friendly politicians speak as to what they could do for us.

The media could have all the best pros in the country under one roof!

This could be a very good thing indeed.

I WOULD GLADLY MEET ANY TIME ANY PLACE TO HELP GET THIS ASSOC STARTED- PROBLEM ARISES WHEN SOME OF THE ABOVE MENTIONED GROUPS ARE NOT OUT TO ADVANCE BAIL ENFORCEMENT BUT SELL THIER TRAINING COURSE.

WE NEED TO GET BEYOND THOSE SO CALLED ASSOCIATIONS TO CREAT A TRUE ASSOCIATION WITH ONLY ONE REASON FOR EXSISTANCE--TO PROMOTE AND PROTECT BAIL ENFORCEMENT--IF WE GET TRAPPED INTO TANGENTS WE START DOWN A VERY SLIPPERY SLOPE.

OUR FOCUS AND ALL OF OUR ATTENTION NEED TO GO TO THAT ONE AREA AT THE BEGINNING IN MY OPINION.AFTER WE HAVE SOME SUCCESS WITH THAT GOAL WE CAN AND WILL START TO ADDRESS OTHER ISSUES RELAVENT TO BEA IE TRAINING , INSURANCE , POLICING OUR RANKS ETC. AGAIN THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION I BELIEVE IF WE BITE OFF MORE THAN WE COULD CHEW WE WILL FAIL BECAUSE WE WILL FRAGMENT AND LOOSE OUR STRENGTH

I've been in the Bail Enforcement Field for over 19 years, I was Regional Director for the National Association of Bail Enforcement Agents, and Head Instructor for National Association Of Fugitive Recovery Agents. I have designed the only Government approved training course. Here's my point no matter what I have done, I'm still a student. I would like to see the government set up a agency that controls our field. As far as training and license. That way it would get the bad apples out of our field. There are meany association in the united states, and each one is stating we are the best.. and that is bull S***!!. The only thing thay look at is the money. I started the National Training Association of Bail Enforcement Agents and it's free. we need to stand together and help each other, not fight each other. I hope that there are agents out there that fill the same has I do. I love this field and I tried everything to make it better, but untill we start working together we will never advance our field.

Lee,

Your point is well taken.

It is my understanding that the proposed convention for 2005 is not about setting up yet another association; indeed, I believe it has to do with getting people together to discuss what is best for the trade and how to go about getting things done.

Now, when you say "government," are you referencing local, state or federal?

More and more states are enacting legislation concerning the BE trade, but the problem is--one can argue--that as a whole the states with BEA laws are falling short of satisfying the US Supreme Court's ruling about crossing state lines.

What I mean by this is that eventhough I meet the licensing requirements for California, I cannot (without meeting the foreign state's licensing requirements) lawfully enter certain states to enforce a California bail bond agreement post-Arizona drug rip-off/homicides and the legislative aftermath.

Perhaps 2005 will provide the venue for discussing such issues?

LEE I AGREE THAT ALL THE ASSOCIATIONS OUT THERE ARE FOR THEIR OWN PROFIT

I HAVE BEEN PREACHING FEDERAL LEGISLATION FOR YEARS-THIS IS MANDATED BY THE TAYLOR V TAINTOR DECISION . IT GIVES US THE RIGHT TO CROSS STATE LINES TO MAKE AN ARREST. AS MANY OF YOU KNOW STATES CAN NOT ABRIDGE NOR OVER RULE A FEDERAL DECISION.

I SAY AGAIN THAT WE NEED A POWER BASE TO LOBBY ALL FEDERAL AND STATE LEGISLATORS TO SEE IT OUR WAY.WE NEED A STRONG UNITED FRONT TO MAKE THIS DREAM HAPPEN FOR IF WE DO NOT OUR
PROFFESION WILL SLOWLY DIE AND FADE AWAY.-IF THE JOHN KERRYS ,THE TED KENNEDYS , THE DIANNE FIENSTIENS , THE REVEREND JACKSONS , THE CLINTONS , ETC. HAVE THEIR WAY IT WILL HAPPEN QUICKLY NOT SLOWLY WE NEED TO KEEP A CONSERVITIVE MAJORITY IN BOTH THE SENATE AND THE HOUSE AND ASLO THE WHITE HOUSE TO SURVIVE BECAUSE IF KERRY GETS IN HE WILL LIKELY APPOINT 2 NEW US SUPREME COURT JUSTICES AND WITH HIS POLITICAL VIEWS(JUST SLIGHTLY TO THE LEFT OF CHAIRMAN MAO SEE TUNG) THE NEW JUSTICES WOULD MOST LIKELY REWARD THE POOR MISUNDERSTOOD CRIMINAL FOR THEIR CRIMES THAN PUT THEM IN JAIL.

AS YOU SEE OUR WAY OF LIFE IS THREATENED ALL YOU GET OFF YOUR BUTTS AND VOTE .

THAN LETS GET OURSELVES UP AND GET THIS GALLENT PROFFESION THE
RESPECT IT DESERVES LETS FIGHT TOOTH AND NAIL FOR OURSELVES LETS GET TOGETHER AND FORM THIS GROUP OF UNDERPAID , OVERWORKED , UNAPPECIATED , OVERFED, PRO BEAS A FEDERAL MANDATE TO EXSIST AND CONTINUE DOING THIS DIRTY JOB

I agree with all of you. What I mean about the government is this. Think of having an agency that over see's our training and back ground. alouds us as agents to use ncic, or other programs that would help us find our actor. being able to work in any city or state, carry in any state. making agents work together not apart. We are some of the best, we know the law's, what we can and can't do. some times we push the law but we never break the law. I see TV shows that pi** me off because all its doing is giving the good agents a bad name. We must stop this no matter what. I would be willing to talk to anyone that is willing to help set up a team that will design new guide lines for our field. I travel all over the US and would be willing to meet anyone on this matter or you can call me at 1-412-708-0147

I find that Hadley's analysis on the most likely direction of a Kerry run government is not without a historical basis, and I am also concerned that the BE trade is in danger from the socialist, Mao Tse Tung/Carl Marx types; indeed, the Kerry/Democratic Party's latest mantra is taken in part from an American (supporter of communism) poet.

Lee, not to long ago, I lost a motion to vacate a forfeiture and exonerate a bond not because the motion was weak or without standing, but because the People and the court felt that granting the motion would set a precedent wherein bail agents would have access to DA criminal records--which was a fallacious argument.

A Federal entity may be the way to go, but I suspect that the individual states may see this as a threat to their sovereignty and contest the move.

This topic deserves further study, in my opinion.

I BELIEVE WE ARE NOT SEEING THE FOREST FOR THE TREES---
THE FEDS TURNED BEA INTO A FEDERAL SACTIONED OPERATION WITH THE T VT DECISION---WE MAY CROSS STATE LINES TO APPREHEND OUR SKIP GIVES US DEFACTO FED AUTHORITY SIMILAR TO FEDERAL MARSHALLS----THAT IS THE BELIEF AND INTERPITATION OF A US SUPREME COURT JUDGE--HE FURTHER BELIEVES THAT THE T VS T DECISION WAS A DEFACTO WAY OF FORCING THE STATES TO ALLOW BEA TO OPERATE ON THIER SOIL WITHOUT INTERFEARENCE OF LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AND ACT AS A BACK UP FOR THE US MARSHALLS OF OLD

AGAIN THAT IS WHY I SAY THE CURE IS A CASE SENT TO THE US SUPREME COURT THIS IS WHY IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO FORM A GROUP AND DEVELOP THE FINANCIAL STATUS TO TAKE A AMERICUS BRIEF ALL THE WAY TO THE US SUPREME COURT - BEFORE THE COURT IS POLLUTED BY MORE LIBRAL JUSTICES

AGAIN IF THE COURT RULES IN OUR FAVOR THE STATES LAWS BECOME NULL AND VOID. AS YOU ALL KNOW FED LAW SURPASES STATE LAW .
