Jason, that seems to be a very good site.... the info seems current as far as I can tell.

I found it interesting that Hawaii has "No statute located" as I thought Beth Chapman was in fact a licensed bondman/woman... but apparently not??? No license required so I guess that is the name of that tune.

"Hawaii licensing requirements for Bail agents:
Hawaii Revised Statutes Annotated Division 2. Business Title 25. Professions And Occupations Chapter 445. County licenses Part VIII. SOLICITORS Surety, Bail Bond — Repealed
(The statutes do not currently contain any licensing provisions for bail enforcement agents or bounty hunters, nor is there any pending legislation for such)."

And I suppose since Duane is a convicted felon (In 1976, Chapman was convicted of first degree murder and sentenced to five years in a Texas prison.) so he can operate in Hawaii without a license... curious again how he operates in other states that have restrictions on felons and cannot be licensed... oh well, as I have always said... "the rule of thumb is... there is no rule of thumb"

Anyway, nice link, thanks for the info. quite helpful.

Thank you, Bill! I'm glad that I ran into it. One of my Facebook friends, who is also a bail bond industry professional, posted it on her page. That's how I found it. It must have taken somebody a great deal of time and effort to put that list together. It seems pretty accurate to me too. I haven't found any flaws in it yet, anyways...

doggie operates in CO and HI and other states that do not require bounty hunter licensing.

In the state that do, they fly under the radar or the locals are blinded by their celebrity status.

That is all about to change very shortly!
