Bill,

I am afraid with your years of experience on me that I have not reached that level of ass kissing..lmao..If I wore a jacket into the courtroom like yours I would get locked up...Hell you ought to see them when I walk through the metal detectors and I put my phones and handcuffs in the basket..I just stopped answering questions and show my DOI ID and walk away. I loved my old courthouse in Pennsylvania...I could walk in and hand them my weapon and they wouldnt think twice..secure it and hand it back to me when I left. What is the world coming too!!

Times do change... sometimes not for the best... as for ass kissing....

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
..added a bit later...
Everyone does a bit of ass kissing as they move through life... part of the ride... crow is also a very good meal when served with the right side dishes... now... having clarified that....
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Do not confuse 'ass kissing' with cooperation based on mutual respect... way past ass kissing... I think my daughter and myself get along within our associations because we strive to do this job the right way and it has not been an easy road... it has taken years to garner this joint cooperation and respect within our judicial system and sometimes it takes a backward step but we strive to keep it moving forward... and that is probably why it is such a difficult thing for newbies to figure out...

Not to preach here but .... this is a very difficult business that takes much more than basic knowledge of the business itself... mutual cooperation based on joint respect has to be earned over years of working together... and there will always be those that refuse to come to the table... on both sides... other bondsmen, LE, courts, judges... etc... etc... and you will never bring them to your side...you just have to deal with it and move on... let it go... that is how I do it and how most that are successful in this industry have to do it...

I am only a very small time "old" redneck bondsman and I have never written (and never will) at the level of some of the big boys but those that deal with me should know that I will always try to be honest and straight up in my business practices and that is all I wish for in their dealings with me.......

A handful of bond companies park cars at the Orange County Main Jail, 24/7. One company, I know of, has whichever agent is manning their nearby office rotate the vehicles every 24 hours. So, not only is their vehicle ALWAYS there, but it is always in the same spot in the parking structure, closest to the pedestrian exit towards the jail. When the jail made the first parking spot an official-use-only spot, they just moved to the spot next to it. The agents standing outside to solicit must, at least, stay on the parking structure side of the street and cannot be on actual jail property but, in LA, this is not even the case as the sidewalk leading right up to the door at LA's Twin Towers is littered with soliciting bail agents.
