Robert,
If you're posting bail for someone and someone asks you if you're a bondsman, you aren't soliciting. I think you know that but wanted to clear that one up.

Of course Bill ...I was meaning me approaching them...to ask them if they needed a bondsman. B Williams wrote: Robert,

It looks like to me that the jail was decorated with Christmas presents. So, not sure why the head of the Chamber said it wasn't.
I guess depicting someone in jail is not in the Christmas spirit. Although we all know that is when some of our best bonds are written.
But look guys, you are lucky to even still have a Christmas parade. Most cities in CA don't have them anymore. In fact we don't celebrate Christmas. It is "Happy Holidays."
Its Holiday Shopping.
Its Winter Break for the schools.
Our Kiwanis Club has a "Holiday Party" not Christmas Party.
You know, we must not offend someone that does not celebrate Christmas.

I am so tired of this freaking politically correct bullshit. This is The United States of American and I do believe we still have a right to celebrate our religious freedoms. My Christmas decorations say Merry Christmas and I have a nativity scene. The hell with any government or special interest group that will tell what I can and cannot do. And YES if a person of Jewish faith wants to celebrate Yom Kippur or Hanukkah I applaud them, or maybe some American-Muslims want to celebrate Ramadan etc..I am so anti politically correct it's not funny. It started with taking prayer out of the school and now some schools don't pledge allegiance. The way I look at it is that you can practice any religion you desire no problem it is your right in the USA..BUT..if you come over here wanting citizenship and the opportunity at a better life then you better stand your ASS up and pledge allegiance or just take your ass back to the hole that you crawled out of... This has struck a nerve with me because back in the day I had a HOA tell me that I could not decorate the holiday's in a religious fashion...I told them I will decorate anyway I see fit and if I hear another word about it..I would sue them for interfering with my religious beliefs...that was the last time that topic was brought up.......I apologize for ranting.

I fight back when ever someone says Happy Holidays to me, I respond with Merry Christmas. Just did so an hour ago at the Walmart we were shopping at for Christmas gifts for the kids in Juvenile Hall.
CA is so far gone with PC that it will never recover.
Anyway sorry to go off on a tangent from the original thread.

My truck has the vehicle lettering & decal on it and though I would never break the rules. I do not see anything wrong with parking it on the public street for advertising.. I have magnetic signs on my vehicle and no one... in my 13 years... has ever said a thing... I also have the words "BAIL BONDS", 3" high letters, embroideries on the back of a light jacket that I sometimes wear into the courtroom... and sit on the second row... and sometimes folks will "ask me" for help... and again, no one has ever said a word to me about this... of course, my daughter takes cookies and brownies to all the deputies at Christmas and other holidays and several of the court clerks have partied with us at some of the local get togethers... like the Oyster Festival and such... but... and I am such a nice harmless old man................ .......... anyway... I think if you do things easy and try not to get too far out of the circle ... you would be surprised what you can do............ again, my usual statement... "rule of thumb is... there is no rule of thumb"....... uh, not sure what this has to do with a Christmas float... but............ BTW... the message, if you can see... on the back of our float said... "Don't spend Christmas in Jail... call us"
