If that's not bad enough. word is that the two cent reverend Al Sharpton from New York is also going to make an appearance down there to support his constituants ........ you know, like he did for Tawana Brawley up here a few years ago. Same scenario, same BS and the same instigators fighting for a lost cause.

I'm sorry this has caused a problem between us, but on the human side, a little diversion is needed every now and then. A similarity as to our everyday life in this business which as we all know has a high stress level. Added to our own personal problems which sometimes amplifies the stress we deal with day to day. I apologize if this has offended some of you but sometimes a little diversion is a good remedy.

The 1st relevance of this topic to BEA work is the possibility that if anyone is actually charged in this criminal matter, then ultimately they will probably be allowed to bail out, and being from prominent families, they will probably flee...i.e. "jumping thier" bond. Here is where we come in. Can you imagine another "Luster" type case ? Star athlete(s) from a prestigius university being accused of rape and then fleeing to Mexico, Brazil, Europe, etc. ?
The 2nd relevance to BEA is the relationship between us and the criminal justice system as a whole. Therefore, anything that happens to the CJ system has a potential to directly or indirectly affect us at some future point.
The 3rd relevance to BEA is a common denominator for mutual conversation of a topic most people relate to: Sports. Nobody's entire world solely consists of thier jobs. Discussing a situation here is no different than if we were in an office building and met at the water cooler and someone introduced this topic.
I don't agree with personal attacks being aired publicly, and I have cautioned against this many, many times both publicly and privately; by the same token, if you don't like a posting then ignore it. We all have the option of simply CHOOSING not to respond to an article.
