For what it's worth... this what I had to say in my post.......
"As one of the area directors of NABBI, I will clarify this story with a basic fact... Dog and his entourage is a TV show... he is a convicted felon and A&E have him on their channel for one reason, entertainment as a money maker, period... true professionals in this business tend to be very quiet, covert, under the radar types that do the job without a lot of fanfare. I am a licensed bondsman and a PI and I can tell you that what we do would not provide much interest to the general public because TV viewers are looking for action, excitement and blow by blow descriptions that will keep them tuning in week to week. 95% of our job consists of sitting in a dark surveillance vehicle; in front of a computer screen; interviewing clients or any of a dozen mundane, boring activities that would probably put the Pope to sleep. You may certainly watch “Dog” and enjoy his antics but always remember, his sensationalism is just that and in fact is frankly, mostly stages action. You don’t really believe the cameraman just happens to be there when all that action takes place… it has to be set up… look at the list of choreographers in the credits… their job is to set up the action and the scenes… those are the facts."
When, in the course of my job, I am ask the inevitable question.... "So, are you like "Dog"????
My usual response is ... "Well, he actually has a lot more tattoos, his hair is a lot longer and he is a little prettier than me... oh and my wife is just a bit smaller..."
That about sums it up....
Bill, right on. Couldn't have said it better myself. Well done.
