Can a bail bondsman pick up someone who has bench warrants? A soon to be ex-wife is leaving with another man since her husband returned but she has some felony warrants that his command is holding him responsible for. The total amount owed is only $4,000 but he doesn't have that kind of money. However if she is picked up for this she would have her family pay it or she would.

NO ONE can be held accountable for another's Felony Warrants . . . unless that party is hindering apprehension . . . . If he or you know exactly where she is . . . CALL the Authorities (Law Enforcement)

If the person just has criminal charges pending and has an active arrest warrant / bench warrant and was never released from jail on a Bail Bond.. then the ONLY ones that can arrest this person would be Law Enforcement.

A bail bondsman can or a Recovery Agent can pick them up. Either one can apprehend.

Friendly advice bulldog... better learn what you can do and cant do before you decide to open your own company as you stated in your introduction in the other thread. You may find yourself in tons of trouble needing a Bail Bondsman yourself if you make the wrong move in this business. If the person just has a straight Bench Warrant or Arrest Warrant ... and IS NOT OUT ON ANY BAIL BOND... Then ONLY LAW ENFORCEMENT MAY ARREST THE INDIVIDUAL with a Warrant...
