Hi Everyone,

My name is Jim Evancho and I have doing bail recovery and private investigations in the Metro Atlanta area for the past 14 years. One of the most frustrating parts of working in Georgia and Alabama is the lack of training available for recovery agents.

We have started the Specialized Protection Services Training Academy (SPSTA). This is a training academy offered to any agents currently working in the industry that wishes to gain valuable knowledge to further their careers. It is also open to people that wish to enter this fun and sometimes exciting industry.

Currently we offer classes in the following:

O.C. (Pepper Spray) Certification
Basic Firearms
Intermediate and Advanced Firearms
Basic Handcuffing
Intermediate and Advanced Handcuffing
Interview Techniques
Prisoner Care and Transport
High Risk Situations and Arrests
Working with Teams
Liability and Use of Force
Liability General
Documentation and Note Taking
Data Gathering
Database Searching and Cross Referencing

We will add courses as time goes on, but we felt these courses were a mininum to any professional bail recovery agent. We are also working with many of the bonding companies through out Georgia to provide job placement assistance.

We look forward to hearing from you with any ideas or comments to help make our industry stronger through education.

Thank you.

Jim Evancho

These are some good classes to have. Do you have a website to see a schedule or cost? Also will you be doing any classes in other area of the state? Reason i ask is I live 4-5 hrs from Atlanta and would have to get a hotel for a couple nights. I'm sure others live farther.

Welcome Jim...:)

A group of us from Alabama came over and took your GAPBA certification course that you taught/held in Gainesville, Ga. in 2005/6 ?

I would also encourage you to join NABBI. We have a fall conference coming up in September in Philadelphia, Pa. that I invite you to attend.

Perhaps you will even consider teaching a class or 2 ? Just ideas.

Look forward to learning more from you.

Take care and God Bless,

John,

I appreciate the good input. If you have enough people, I will travel to your location depending on class size. I do not have a minimum per se, but I just need to keep it cost effective. If you have any questions please feel free to call me on my cell 770-878-3888.
