Why not just put "Bail Enforcement" or "Fugitive Recovery" or "Bail Bondsman" and forget words like "Agent", "Officer"... or a picture of the state seal on the badge... here is a picture of my badge... which I don't even carry anymore, I keep it in a little box that has all my bullets ................................................ try to keep it away from my other stuff.... cause the Clorox will discolor it...   It simply says "Bail Bondsman" and my name "W.T. Marx"... and the seal is standard 'scale of justice'... that's all. I have another that has a picture of Donald Duck on it but my grandson like that one and he took it home....

Howdy! Here in Colorado, we seem to have a good deal of latitude. We also have a pretty darn good relationship with local law enforcement. I've been out on apprehensions with my team, badges clearly displayed, and never had any reaction from an LEO. They know who, and what, we are. Here is one that I like, but isn't the one I wear when working with my team: Attachment:

Usually we keep them out of sight until we arrive at the location where apprehension is expected. Most of our LEOs will provide a civil assist when asked, although one jurisdiction herabouts seldom provides any help whatsoever. Thanks for Looking, Mel

I really hate when companies sell products that could potentially put their customers in the slammer. If what was said about the lettering "U.S." being prohibited, then this would be illegal to wear in all 50 states! It may look cool, but it's not worth the risk in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I believe that everyone from bail enforcement to private investigators have the right to display a badge if there's any chance at all that it could expose them to less risk.

Not that it really matters... but if someone flashes a badge... how many people do you know who would actually take the time to inspect it to see what it really says... a badge... is a badge... is a badge.... maybe LE would look and maybe you and me.... but not average Joe Blow our here.... "uh........ yeah... it's a badge... ok... you must be official... uh... ok... duuuhhhhh.... I'm impressed......... duuuhhhhh..... "  Same with all the "hoopla bling, bling" Swat stuff.... you show up decked out and again... average Joe Street guy... looks at you and sees............ "COP"..... that is the reason so many stories get told about "he said he was a cop".. or "he acted like a cop"... or.... "I thought he was a cop"..... maybe it's good, maybe not, but it does create appearance... no denying that... I'll just stick to my Disneyland, tourist, tennis shoes, baseball cap... you guys flash the badges, wear the guns and X-26's outside and in view... with the vests and "Agent" plastered all over it... .... it's ok... if you like it......... do it.............. but not me. To each his own.... you will not read a story about me being detained for impersonating anything other than.............. maybe a clown. I had more altercations and fights as a trucker than I have ever had in 12+ years in this business.... might have a big one tomorrow, but so far, no problems.... and yes, I have locked a few up... but of course, I have no TV show nor have I been offered one.

Missouri law requires photo identification be plainly visible during a recovery, investigation, interview, etc. Everyone thinks our agents are police officers because of that.
