If there is NO REAL DANGER in chasing down bail skips maybe I should send you photos of the night my elbow was ripped open while we were fighting to get the cuffs on a skip who just happened to have a knife on him.

NO REAL DANGER MY FOOT!!!!

David,

How did that heal up by the way? Did that lady plead out?

Don,
I healed up just fine, just a ugly little scar to go with the rest of them that we have gotten over the years, Thanks for asking. No the DA wouldn't let her plead out, she got a year for the attack, suspended on the motion by me that she pay all medical bills and not get in any trouble for two years or the original sentence would be imposed . So she got Probation for two years and all medical cost which she is paying off so far. Hows business down Evansville way?

Stay Safe Out There,

Pretty slow down here. There is a bondsman here who likes to use unlicensed bondsmen (I think because he can get them to jobs cheaper than the standard fees). I know this because he hired a friend of mine who is in KY and is not licensed in any state... funny because my friend called and hired me to go with him in case he got stopped by local PD LOL.

Been doing some prisoner transports for Court Services to fill in, most of my bills are paid from last years gigs but things are starting to get tight (no money for toys untill I get paid for some outstanding invoices). Did a job for a PI out in CA but those are few and far between.

Still waiting on the Overseas gig. Got an email a few weeks ago by the contractor who said I was on the roster should they lose anyone through "attrition" LOL but the first rotations don't end until May so it looks like I got a while to wait if I do get to go.

Have you looked into this training thing? I am going to check into what it takes to get a class approved at USI here in Evansville, or may Ivy Tech. Was hoping someone already had a course outline that I could get certified as an instructor in and then tailor it to Indiana (with approval by the course creator of course... lol no pun intended... with appropriate percentage of fees kicking back to that person).

Started snowing today 1-3 inches on the ground, wish that happened at christamas LOL.

How's it up there?

Do any of you really know why PBUS is entertaining Dog? Maybe they have a long-term agenda that is served well by hearing his thoughts and ideologies on BEA work. He may not be in any way the type of individual we want representing our profession, but he does take care of his business. The image of our business is now-and-forever flawed, but why not use this opportunity, which is going to happen whether we like it or not, to educate ourselves on how and why he runs a successful business the way that he does. Even though asthetically, he is the opposite of how most of us would choose to present ourselves, he has made a small fortune for himself, (even outside of his TV show)! I in no way support D.C., but I believe that there could be an upside to welcoming him as a speaker at our convention. My 2 Cents.

USA you do have some valid points--and if he repesents bondsmen ok-he has done well as a bondsmen-here comes the but--he is not known for his activities as a bondsmen but as a bounty hunter--in that he fails.from start to finish-he is everything we come to dispise in a bea-he is clown act -using his current tactics in most of the country would get a bea shot-beat or arrested--his grasp of legality is at best limited his grasp of tactics is non exsistant-his dealing with law enforcement is strained at best and is evident from the clown show--his use of braun is contray to our standards and the law--his courage is suspect as shown in a show where leland is being beat and doggie hides behind a car fender--beths big mouth while an asset to the show would cause great harm and possible violence in the real world--as said many times before by people better than me comparing him to the current crop of pro bea is a direct insult--while i applaud him for his money making ability i detest him for what he has done to our proffession

I no doubt, believe that everything you said is true Gunner. Most, if not all BEA's have already formed their opinions as to what they think about D.C. We all know that his methods are azz-backwards and reflect poorly upon our profession as a whole but I reiterate, quit "doggin" on him and see what you can learn. If nothing else simply tolerate him long enough to find out why he acts the way that he does. Examine how he justifies his methods and adjust your own based upon his faults. I dont really want to debate what kind of BEA he is, I just simply hear too many people wasting their time "doggin" him when in reality, they have the free time to write post after post about him because they have no work themselves. He's a hustler for sure; He's a brute for sure; and I'm pretty sure he has no clue what damage he does to our image as a whole; but in reality he works hard, makes money, and can be used to, if nothing else, show a tangible example of what the future BEA's of the world should not imitate.

I am waiting for a real BEA to step up and overshadow DOG with his dramatic but legal version of Bounty Hunting, which may then be supported by the rest of us enough to de-bunk a few BEA myths!

Again, my 2 cents!
