A temporary executive should be appointed. Interested and qualified people should be actively recruited to be members of the executive. Usually a temporary executive serves for a three-month term, then a nine-month term and then is elected annually after that.

I know I am new to this forum.... but this should be the voice of the new organization going into St Louis until the Board of Directors and Officers are elected.

If such a title should stick, I nominate LuVonda to be the "Broad" of Directors. (Too anyone missing this...check the last post.)

No worries. They often, as in this case, provide moments of levity.

And...an executive of sorts was chosen, by show of hand volunteering, in Vegas. As one of the volunteers, I await marching orders.

Tom and All,

Marching orders will be coming down shortly. Once I get the contract from the hotel we will have a firm committed date and location. Then the fun will start.

I posted earlier that we will need worker bees to handle getting the word out, nominations, reviewing mission statement, ethics and bylaws, membership requirements, board of directors structure, etc .............

So, I remember those that volunteered to help. I have the memory of an elephant. You will be drafted to work on something.

But again, the most important thing everyone can do is to attend and get others to do so!
