Hello Julia,

I noticed that you said you were going to do some business with Scott Bernstein? I took his class and it was very good, I learned alot from him. On the other side please read the message on the link below. Also do a google search for his name, there are alot of not so good things out there. Personally I liked the guy, but feel like once I took the class they forget about me. I have called several times to get a course breakdown by hours for NYS to get a waiver and no one calls me back or emails me back either. Please read the link. I know you want to get your product out there, but I dont want to see you get shafted either. Thanks for listening.

Eric

I told her the same thing but you know better then me, on the other end of the spectrum I may add that Scott Harrell Beabountyhunter.com and bondforfeiture.com are both really good courses, even just for a reference! Very up to date, very real, no powder coating!

Thank you Eric for taking time last night to write. What you described was everything I have 'heard' or read. Not to completely 'censor' myself, but we just recently (8 months) became distributors of a multitude of various high tech GPS units and he contacted us. Long story short, he did an 'end run' straight to the manufacturer locking us out, BUT the 'funny' thing was, he posted him getting into selling such BEFORE he even had access to anything. It was a tad unethical, but we learned.

Regarding courses, though I am waiting on my FRA license, my first love is everything I do in my PI work. I am looking into boning up on my skills with Executive Protection. Since my knee surgery, looks to be less running, and yes, I'm lazy!

Have a great day.

Julie

Julia,

For Executive Protections, I would recommend Fred Mastison of Force Options. Class is very thorough but there are some pre-reqs to getting in. They are located in Arizona so that might be a great location for you. He does travel all over the country however.

It is a pretty long course (7 days) and it covers a substantial amount of information, and training. Most of the courses are approved by the various states he teaches in, so you will usually get 40-60 hours of certified Peace Officers training along with the course.

Thank you shooter:

Fred is in Chandler, which is convenient and he IS thorough. Though my Academy days are WAY behind me, I'm not completely out of shape, but am re-habing from knee surgery, so I'm sitting a couple of months out for Fred's type of 'dancing'.

Thanks again!

Julia
