To John G. In NY.

My background is law enforcement and my guys, for the most part are ex-military. With my PI Agency I thought getting my FRA License just opens up the door more. A Bondsman has to be credit worthy (in AZ) to cover the surety. My husband/partner had Stage 4 cancer last year, but is now a walking miracle in full remission. Our credit is horrible due to everything, so we are starting a new.

In NY there is a man by the name of Scott Bernstein. Look him up. He's been on AMW and other shows. We introduced him to GPS monitoring, so I have a personal reference. I'm saying this because you don't seem like a desk person, or big on research. Also, you might want to stay in NY. They have the highest fugitive rate per capita I hear! Good luck!

I think my statement might have gave the wrong impression about what I meant, I not gonna argue with anyone considering I have no experience in the industry and no experience in LE, FRA and military.
With that said I thinks in my best interest to bow out of this thread, I'm sorry if you get the wrong impression about the use of the word "excitement", and I'm sorry if I upset anyone. A lot of what I stated was for pure advice.
Julia, its not that I'm not a desk person by any means, I do research but not in depth like the people on here that have experience, I do the best I can and always look where people tend to direct me. I heard the name Scott Bernstein and if you look at one of Eric B threads, you'll see why I didn't reach out to him.
I thank everyone for there time, and I'm truly sorry if I upset anyone, as that wasn't my intentions by any means.

John:

I didn't mean anything derogatory about desk work or research, so I apologize if I sounded like I was.

I am VERY new in this forum. Still can't figure out where to post an intro for me!! I haven't seen your posting with regards to Scott B., but I would be interested to.

Again, I apologize for any offense.

Julia

John,

Slow your roll a bit. No one is upset. Especially us "boring" bail bondsmen and women.

A very important part of this business is being able to "read" people. That includes us on this forum.

Tony,

I agree with what your saying, I have to admit on the phone and in person, I'm fairly good at reading people, at least in my opinion, based off my past decisions, with situation that have I experienced throughout my life. On the other hand reading someone on a forums is definitely something new to me. Plus the fact everyone on here seems to have a tremendous amount of experience so I don't want to get on anyones bad side, before I even start. On a side not no one on here is boring to me, I don't know maybe its just me, I actually find it quite fascinating that this community is so tight knit. ON a GOOD note I might just have a apprenticeship, I'm looking into relocating to where it is., but thats for my post in off topics!

Julia, post your Intro in the Section titled same.

John . . . I am impressed (a bit) that you have actually taken the time to do some reading here. Keep reading . . . You will then be able to figure out when we are ticked and when . . . we are just chiding you
