One very simple thing we can do to help our image is to no longer call ourselves (I never have) Bountyhunters. As a kid watching westerns, the Bounty Hunter was always the bad guy and it continues to this day.

For what it's worth, I agree totally with Tony. Dang good advice Tony !!!

Bill
In the old movies, they called them Bounty Killers, giving deference to the dead or alive wanted posters.

That was the name of the tv series with Steve McQueen, Wanted Dead or Alive. His first name was Josh. Can't remember the last name.

Help Bill Marx!!

Never mind I think it was Randall.

"Bounty Killers", Must be before my time and that's becoming more difficult by the year....I do recall Bounty Hunter though. The term has no affect on me either way, I know what is meant when a person calls himself a Bounty Hunter, problem is, the general public doesn't and I truly think we should re-examine using that term. That's only my opinion and I stand by it , but it remains only an opinion.

It was Josh Randall... great show. 96 episodes cost me 10 bucks at walmart. I love old westerns. Several gun companies are now making replicas of his "mares leg" and selling them as pistols.
